CLIENT SERVICE AGREEMENT

CONTRACT

This is a service agreement for the provision of makeup and/or hair services between the client and Merya.

BOOKING

Brides are highly advised to book a makeup & hair trial to get the desired final look for their big day. This includes engagements, sangeets, henna parties, weddings & valimas.

To secure a date for a bridal trial, payment is required on or before the trial date.

To secure a date for special occasions, photo-shoots or weddings, a signed contract is required with a deposit due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable & non-transferable to any other dates, times or persons. 

Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup and hair times will only be reserved when a signed contract (contract attached in a reply email, or a reply email with times, venue and rough listing of scheduled makeup & hair times will be deemed a signed contract) and deposit is received. 

If your booking is for 4 or more people and there is a need for an assistant. Assistant will be charge at an additional rate of $150 to organise and any of their extra fees which may apply. 

BOOKING TIMES

A start and end time will be agreed by the client and Merya. Each makeup and hair service requires a certain length of time to be finished, the usual timeframe is approximately 1 hour for makeup & 1 hour for hair per person. When reserving your date, book accordingly. 

In the case where the client is unable to allow the required time for each person in the booking, Merya will not be responsible for delays or unfinished makeup and/or hair for client/s. 

Merya will arrive a little earlier than the agreed ‘start time’ to set up. Any additional makeup needs outside contract will only be performed at the discretion of the makeup artist. All persons involved in makeup & hair appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract. 

To ensure a smooth and timely process for the service, client’s hair must be washed a day prior to event and blow dried- no tangles ( if hair gets very oily, then night before for washing would be preferred). Wet hair will not be worked on, as drying hair is not included in the service. If hair needs blow drying then an extra charge of $30 applies per person even if the client has to dry themselves. This is due to time restrictions. 

All bookings for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive times (no gaps in between).

SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Location of service for the day-of-event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete the makeup. A “set up” table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at said location. Working electrical outlets must also be made available for use by makeup artist. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. A high chair or bar stool is requested but not necessary. 

Merya will not be held liable for any injuries that should arise while on location. Remember to wear a button down shirt so you don’t mess up your style while getting dressed.

TRAVEL FEE 

The amount will be determined at time of inquiry; this may be done through the use of Google maps.

AIRFARE AND ACCOMMODATION

All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by client. Costs may include, but not limited to: airfare, hotel, transportation and parking.

OTHER FEES

When an appointment is at a hotel, valet parking fees will be charged. Please ensure you give the correct hotel name and address details to makeup artists prior to booking for the fees to be added to the invoice.

LIABILITY

All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist, Merya from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

PAYMENT

The final balance is due on the day of event in cash and an exact amount, prior to start of appointment, unless otherwise advised. Please note, final payment cannot be transferred on or day before the appointment as the fund need at least 72hours to clear. 

The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) who has signed the booking contract.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Merya reserves the right to terminate this contract for any non-compliance of terms, contract will become void and all monies given are non-refundable. 

Deposits made for bookings are completely non – refundable & non-transferable to any other persons or dates. 
This booking arrangement cannot be changed before or after the artist arrives for the appointment.
If the makeup artist cancels at any time or be unable to perform her duties for any reason and not be able to find a replacement makeup artist, the deposit paid will be fully refunded within two weeks. Client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit is the only liability to Merya and any and all of its owners, employees and agents.
